Hikvision camera setup

Getting a Hikvision camera to work as expected was not quite per the documentation. Some general notes:

  • These cameras always default to a static 192.168.1.118 address on boot. Hope you have a network card you can configure to that subnet…
    • To change, go to the web interface, network settings, TCP/IP.
  • The RTSP stream format under Network Settings ⇒ Port is just wrong. Use rtsp://frigate:Frigate1!@192.168.1.150:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 format for Go2RTC. The subtype=0 IS important, it didn’t work without that.
